Alejandro Segovia and The Audio Studio Services He Offers:

"What I offer at my studio, are mixing and mastering services, not recording. That is, if you have already recorded an album or a song elsewhere and want to improve your mix, you can bring it to me.

Or if you have already done the mixing of your audio, but you need to do the final mastering, which is this whole process of reviewing and blending all of the material, you can do the mastering with me.

What's an Audio Mixing Process?

It's when someone comes and brings in a hard drive all the recordings he made in another studio separately: drums, bass, guitar, vocals, etc. So, in a special program for audio editing, all those files are opened and given their value, their proper level within the final mix, their equalization, the panning.

That is, they are given the place they take in the whole stereo sound, left and right, and all the processes are made so that an homogeneous mix is heard, so that everything makes sense. The idea is to not hear all of the instruments playing separately from the whole melody; to build some coherence in the final audio.

There is also a specific treatment of the voice; we work on the voice's intonation and levels, as well as on the choirs and other recorded instruments. Its equalization, sound effects, echoes, reverberations, etc. are monitored. In the end, we make a mix of all the sounds so that they end up sounding just like we hear them on the radio or like we listen to them in a finished album.

Think of the mixing process as the final sound design of a production, where a good mix represents 50% of the quality of the final product.

Audio Mastering

The mastering process comes right after the mixing process was done. What is mastering? It's when we put together not only the instruments, but everything else as well: all the songs, all of the album's material in order to process it so that everything meets the same standard level.

What we want is to meet the levels requested by the industry; we review the equalizations and we create the files that usually make up the final album audio.

These are the kind of things you can do at my studio".
