Sales or Marketing... Or Both?

One of the greatest benefits of the internet is that these two areas which used to work separately, no longer need to keep working like this. You can optimize your resources (human and financial) by working with a single strategy that links both areas.

Your Website can work for:

  1. Marketing. Offering relevant content to your visitors so that they learn more about your product or service and choose to buy from you.
  2. Sales. Guiding your visitors throughout their buyer's journey, during which they will communicate and share their contact info with you. This will make it easier for you to close sales.

How to coordinate the efforts of both areas?

Under the same strategy or GamePlan. Before launching your campaigns, you need to work on the strategy that you're going to follow, a strategy built based on to the goals and objectives that you want to achieve. This is how you will also be able to constantly evaluate your efforts, facing the goals you've set for your company.

Where do I start?

  1. Design your GamePlan
  2. Build a Website to help you carry out an Inbound Marketing Strategy
  3. Publish content on your site and re-publish it on social networks. Social networks are a great tool to build presence before those who are already registered in your group, however, those who don't know you yet, won't be able to find you via online search (Google) -as they can with a Website. In addition, if you only publish content on networks, you won't be able to keep a record of your visitors/readers -or add any of their contact info to your CRM-, which you can actually do with a Website.
  4. Make sure that your content: a) Appears in the first results of internet search engines (such as Google) by carrying out SEO strategies b) Follows a strategy to help you convert your visitors into leads.
  5. Put the content of your page to work with tools that will help you register the contact info of your readers/ visitors/ customers, such as CTA buttons, Landing Pages, forms and premium content offers. They should all be linked to a CRM in which the contact info of your clients gets registered in order to grow your clients portfolio.
  6. Offer buying options to your customers. Your marketing strategy has worked and now they want to buy from you. How do you close the sale? There are several ways:
    • Contact interested customers (via email, phone calls or WhatsApp)
    • Offer an online catalog so that the sale closes right on your site
    • Offer different points of sale to those who want to buy your products on site
